The NewSpace 2010 Conference is a three-day event that focuses on the emergence of a variety of NewSpace companies as they shift from theoretical concepts to functional realities. Programming and networking receptions will cover pressing topics ranging from the usage of suborbital vehicles and the Google Lunar X-Prize, to the possibility of space solar power and the financial benefits of a thriving presence in space. This year’s conference also includes two exciting roundtable discussions with NASA on how governmental and commercial space can best cooperate to overcome the technological and financial concerns posed by manned spaceflight. The conference is an annual event put on by the Space Frontier Foundation.

seems one barrier to the low cost reliable access to space is the fact that "we" don't have a direct focus of our collective efforts on a specific task in a long-term plan
