The We-Are-Space Video Competition sponsored by the Space Frontier Foundation (SFF), Students for the Exploration of Space (SEDS), and Spacevidcast.com, asks the question, “How will emerging low-cost access to space transform both the role of government space agencies and the lives of ordinary citizens?” The videos entered into this competition will not only fuel the imaginations of those currently working to lower the cost of spaceflight but also raise awareness in the general population about the possibilities space holds for the everyday person. Those interested in vying for the prize should create short, well-crafted videos with a compelling argument. The SFF, SEDS, and Spacevidcast are passionate about spreading information about space to a wider audience and helping to gain support for the latest developments. You too can help support the space industry by inspiring the judges with your answers and sharing your favorite videos. All submissions will be available at Spacevidcast.com/wearespace. Letting everyone know that changes now happening in the industry could mean access to space for more than just government scientists is a powerful incentive for wider support of the space industry. A truly inclusive space program will require the participation of all, regardless of their direct affiliation with governmental or commercial space.

A panel consisting of SEDS executive board members, SFF representatives, and other prominent members of the space industry will judge the videos on their production quality, content and overall ability to answer the question satisfactorily. The first place winner will receive $1000.00 but all the submissions will be featured at Spacevidcast.com/wearespace. Submissions are due on June 7th, and both the submission form and rules can be found at the We-Are-Space website.
