Space Frontier Foundation Sponsors SpaceVision and Student BPC
Nyack, NY – The Space Frontier Foundation is proud to announce its sponsorship of the SpaceVision 2013 conference and their Student Business Plan Competition (BPC). SpaceVision is run by the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), making the sponsorship a direct investment in the future of NewSpace. The Foundation strongly encourages anyone interested in NewSpace to attend the conference, and see what the next generation of great NewSpace innovators and businessmen are up to.
“SEDS represents our future in space,” said Foundation President James Pura. “The NewSpace leaders of tomorrow will be at this conference, and it is our job as industry representatives to encourage their business and technology innovations. Sponsoring the conference and Student BPC is our way of helping these young minds get us into space, permanently.”
This year’s Student Business Plan Competition is the largest yet, and is open to all undergraduate and graduate students. The competition, featuring over $6800 in prizes and a cash Grand Prize of $1000, tasks students with proposing business plans for space industry or space-scalable businesses. The competition will be judged by experienced industry leaders, to provide insight into real-world lessons learned.
SpaceVision is orchestrated by SEDS and is the largest student-organized space conference in the nation. This year the conference focuses on demonstrating the cooperative efforts of scientists and engineers with business people, artists, and journalists who continue to create a space faring civilization.
