NewSpace 2009
Our Annual NewSpace conference is the premier networking event for bringing together the movers and shakers of the NewSpace industry for the perfect mix of professional work and fun. NewSpace 2009 (on Facebook) took place at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley July 17-20, 2009.
The pending change in administration presents a golden opportunity to put the U.S. government space program back on the right track–enabling entrepreneurial “NewSpace” ventures. The United States is reaching a crossroads in space development, with the opportunity to create an exciting new future rather than live in the past. The Space Frontier Foundation aims to help light that fire of change by engaging the brilliant minds working at NASA Ames in the NewSpace movement.
NewSpace 2009 was a single-track conference focusing on entrepreneurial space activities. Our sessions were intended to provide not just interesting presentations, but to generate lively discussions among NewSpace CEOs, established space industry leaders, NASA & Military space experts and government regulators.
We are transforming space from a government- owned bureaucratic program into a dynamic and inclusive frontier open to people. We are determined to convert the image held by many young people that the future will be worse than the present, and we reject the idea that the world's greatest moments are in its past.
