Biography:
Marimikel Charrier is the press manager of the Space Frontier Foundation. She is striving to promote the Space Frontier Foundation’s programs and the NewSpace industry to a greater audience. She has been a space enthusiast since she was a child, and is thrilled to be supporting mankind’s space endeavors.
Marimikel is also a freelance marketing consultant. She provides social media, PR, web development, and writing services to aerospace and entertainment communities. She also has a background in non-profit work and had a fulfilling career fundraising and marketing for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society as a campaign manager for their sports training program, Team In Training.
Marimikel graduated with Professional Performance and Music Production & Engineering degrees from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Upon graduating, Marimikel worked as an engineer and producer at Mix One Studios.
She is the second harpist ever to attend this notable contemporary music school. Raised as a classical harpist from the age of eight, Marimikel started playing jazz and other contemporary styles in college and continues to pursue the eclectic side of the harp. She has been part of fusion ensembles, a pop-rock bands, straight-up jazz groups, and traditional orchestras. Marimikel performed on the soundtrack for several films, albums, and TV documentaries.
We are transforming space from a government- owned bureaucratic program into a dynamic and inclusive frontier open to people. We are determined to convert the image held by many young people that the future will be worse than the present, and we reject the idea that the world's greatest moments are in its past.
