Imagine if you will…a young girl is getting ready to go to school, but first she takes her phone out of her pocket, takes a picture out the window, and posts on her Facebook page “It’s a beautiful day here on Mars…today I’m giving a presentation on the Pioneers of NewSpace. Can’t wait!”
The future of space belongs to dreamers with enough passion to make those dreams a reality. Things like the Theory of Relativity, the Automobile, the Airplane, and even Facebook and Twitter were just crazy ideas at one time. Well, Space Frontier Foundation has bold, audacious goals too…the sustainable settlement of space, fully commercial interplanetary transportation, and a future where the title “astronaut” is attainable by all…young and old, rich and poor. A free and open space frontier is possible, and with your help, it’ll be just a little bit closer. Become a part of this disruptive change by supporting programs like these:
- Space Frontier Foundation hosted over 50 high school teachers nationwide in our Teachers In Space Project, to teach about space medicine and spaceflight experiments, so they could go back to their classrooms and inspire the next generation of space explorers in their classrooms. One of these experiments is flying to the International Space Station this month.
- The Business Plan Competition awarded $135,000 in prizes to the next generation of disruptive thinkers, and with the help of Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), we awarded a group of students who are 3D printing rocket engines.
- The 2013 NewSpace Conference engaged over 500 leaders of industry, policy, and futuristic visionaries to discuss current and future plans for the NewSpace Industry, to cross-pollinate ideas & uniquely talented people, and to create new businesses. Together, the attendees solidified settlement as the championed human space goal of government and industry alike, and “paved the road” for the years to come.
History proves that the most disruptive & paradigm-changing ideas come from the young generation. Help them make their ideas a reality with your money, and become a “venture capitalist for social good.”
Donations $50 and over will receive a limited edition set of 25th Anniversary frosted glass champagne flutes, while supplies last.
