On October 2nd, NASA directed Boeing and SpaceX to halt all work with regards
to Commercial Crew transportation Capabilities (CCtCAP). This was in response
to Sierra Nevada filing a protest to the Government Accountability Office. A
week later, NASA directed Boeing and SpaceX to resume work under CCtCAP
which NASA claims is within its “statutory authority.” The resumption of
CCtCAP will help Boeing and SpaceX meet deadlines that have already
experienced delays.
