Policy

The Foundation has been advocating for a more ambitious future in space since it was founded in 1989. Its influence can be seen in the enabling Space Launch Amendments Act of 2004 and in the transition to the Commercial Cargo, Crew and Lunar Payload services. Here you will find our current priorities, documents, and notices of events such as March Storm.

Recent updates:

Artemis Offramp

The current Artemis Program is not capable of the delivering systems to the Lunar surface at any economically useful cadence or capability. The Foundation believes that the Evolvable Lunar Architecture is a far superior plan and should be adopted immediately.

There are numerous techniques the US Government can use to support emerging technology sectors, but for some reason, those techniques have not been applied to the space sector. The Foundation believes that advocacy for strong economic incentives has long been neglected and can return far superior results for the American taxpayer.

Financial Incentives

With the space sector's recent drastic growth in launch rates and capabilities, regulations left over from the Apollo era have become a serious impediment and need to be modernized.

Regulatory Reform
March Storm

Foundation members, in cooperation with members of many other space advocacy organizations, have taken it on themselves to visit Washington, DC every March since 1995 to provide Congress their views on space exploration, settlement, and development.
